Know Who You've Registered - Record information and submit your cards
Here are a few ways to collect and manage this information.
- Create a database that details the name and contact information of each person, what event they were registered at, and any other information you may have collected relating to a candidate or issue.
- Contact people a few weeks after they register to ensure they have received their voter registration cards and know when elections are and where to vote.
- Use this information to do Get Out The Vote efforts close to election day, making sure people who are your supporters get out to their polling place and exercise their right to vote!
- Turn in voter registration cards. It's really important that you know the laws in your state and be sure to get the card turned in to the correct place within the correct amount of time. One great resource we have found is Declare Yourself, it's a non-partisan non-profit organization that has put together a table of state specific voter registration laws.
