Jeff Blodgett, one of Minnesota’s leading political campaign strategists, will hold a post-election debrief and discussion of his new book, Winning Your Election the Wellstone Way: A Comprehensive Guide for Candidates and Campaign Workers. This companion guide to Politics the Wellstone Way, the best-selling introduction to political action, features case studies and step-by-step guides to effectively running a campaign for public office from experienced campaign organizers. Blodgett, who recently served as Minnesota State Director for Barack Obama’s campaign, will offer commentary and invite conversation about the 2008 election. He will also be available to sign copies of the book.
Jeff Blodgett is Executive Director of Wellstone Action. He has twenty-five years of community organizing, issue advocacy, and political management experience, and spent thirteen years as a senior aide, adviser, and campaign manager to the late Senator Paul Wellstone, running all three of his election campaigns. Blodgett has worked on dozens of other election campaigns and issue advocacy efforts, including Amy Klobuchar's successful election to the U.S. Senate in 2006.
The election de-brief is free and open to the public. The event is Thursday, November 20th at 7:30pm, and will be at Magers and Quinn Booksellers, 3038 Hennepin Ave. South in Minneapolis.
