Jeffrey Bland is an organizer and community leader in Missouri, who took a break from his work as an attorney to run a contested school referendum campaign where children's access to good education hung in the balance. Read about his strategy to win and how he won big against the odds.
New Jersey Working Families, led by Executive Director Margarita Hernandez, is a coalition of organizations that work together for good schools, affordable health care, and an
accountable government that works for everyone. These organizations
realized that they could organize and lobby elected officials all they
wanted, but at the end of the day, they needed to change the choices that
